IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MEAT!
Domestic cats are built like their ancestors and we believe they should eat like them too. How do you know if your cat’s food is Biologically Appropriate? Simple – just answer our three meat questions.
HOW MUCH FISH?
ACANA Wild Atlantic is loaded with 75% wild-caught fish, more than twice as much as some pet specialty cat foods, and is entirely free of grains or gluten.
HOW MUCH FRESH FISH?
A full 50% of the fish in ACANA Wild Atlantic is FRESH or RAW supplying essential nutrients in their most nourishing form. Fresh means never frozen, so refrigeration is the only way we preserve our fresh meat, while our raw meat is flash-frozen at the source to lock in goodness. The other half is dried or oils to provide a strong and natural source of richly nourishing animal protein and fat.
HOW MANY FISH?
ACANA Wild Atlantic features fresh fish in WholePrey ratios that include fish, organs, and cartilage or bone to supply nutrients naturally and completely.
- Atlantic Mackerel – whole, wild-caught, and fresh from New England.
- Atlantic Herring – whole, wild-caught, and fresh from New England.
- Acadian Redfish – whole, wild-caught, and fresh from New England.
- Silver Hake – whole, wild-caught, and fresh from New England.
- Yellowtail Flounder – whole, wild-caught, and fresh from New England.
LIMITED SUPPLEMENTS ADDED
In Mother Nature’s kitchen there are no synthetic supplements, and wildcats derive all of their nutritional needs by consuming whole prey animals. Muscle meat provides protein; liver, kidney and tripe supply vitamins and minerals; while bones and cartilage deliver calcium and phosphorus.
ACANA WholePrey foods incorporate fish, organs and cartilage in ratios that mirror Mother Nature, delivering nutrients naturally. So you won’t find long lists of synthetic supplements — only choline, zinc, copper and Vitamin K are added.
